Advanced Twitter Strategies for Authors – Available for Pre-Order
Anyone who follows me on Twitter will have noticed that I’m incredibly active on the platform. That’s because I spend all my time Tweeting soundbites rather than writing the next book. It’s by far the world’s best procrastination tool. If Shakespeare’s Hamlet was alive today, I bet he would procrastinate publicly on Twitter rather than mope about Elsinore Castle. Go look at my Twitter profile (@iansuth) and you’ll see I’m on it 24/7.
I don’t sleep!
I’m constantly tweeting great content about indie publishing, retweeting others and promoting my books and other authors. And I reply to my mentions and engage in conversation with other Tweeps. And as a result, the number people who choose to follow me is going through the roof. If you take a look, you’ll see it’s all I do.
Not really 😉
Well, let me tell you a little secret! Lean closer. Closer. Ready? Actually, I’m not active 24/7. In fact, I’m only on it in person for about 10 to 15 minutes a day when I properly engage with others. It’s just that I seem to be active all the time. This is because I’ve developed a strategic approach to Twitter that really helps me engage effectively and efficiently with other Twitter users while occasionally marketing my books. And fitting Twitter within 15 minutes day leaves me time to write. I am an author after all – I’m supposed to write!
Whenever I explain my approach to other authors, they look at me wide-eyed, as if I’ve just told them the secret to life! And so I’ve decided to pen a non-fiction book explaining all. It’s already available for pre-order on Amazon and Kobo and is scheduled for publication on April 14th, 2015. If you’re an author — in fact, if you’re just interested in getting more out of Twitter — then you can find out more about the book by clicking on the book cover.
I’ll be putting the final touches to the book in the next few weeks and then it will go off to my editor.
Here’s the draft blurb from the back:
Advanced Twitter Strategies for Authors is for fiction and non-fiction writers, published and yet-to-be-published, who want to take advantage of Twitter to proactively market their books but without being perceived as a spammer.
It reveals how to exponentially grow your follower base into the tens and hundreds of thousands by attracting the attention of people interested in your niche. It discloses how to become an effective Twitter influencer on the subject or themes of your books. It divulges how to engage effectively while always coming across as human.
By applying the techniques divulged in this guide you will make Twitter a cornerstone of your book marketing strategy and will systematically drive thousands of potential purchasers to your books’ retail storefronts.
And, as an author’s time is precious, it reveals how to achieve all this in under 15 minutes a day!
I promise to get back to writing the sequel to Invasion of Privacy straight after!!
